Host broadcast TVRS
![]() | TVRS (Television Radio Services) is part of the French public television group France Télévisions. Its specific mission is to host broadcast major events. TVRS was originally founded in 1996 to host broadcast the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France. In 2002 it was reopened to host broadcast the 2003 IAAF 9th World Championships in Athletics in Paris, France and then the 40th FIS Alpine Ski World Championships in Val d'Isère. It is now a permanent SAS (Société par Actions Simplifiée) subsidiary of France 2 and France 3. |
The web site of TVRS The three functions of the host broadcaster are: - to produce the international signal of the competition for the whole of world televisions (to be noted that, for the first time, the Championships will be produced in High-definition) - to provide the technical services allowing televisions and radios to produce their privative programmes from Val d'Isère - to lay out the site of Val d'Isere for the needs of televisions, in connection with the Organising Committee. |
