Team Captain Meetings

Team captain meetings will be held daily at 5pm for Men and 6pm for Ladies in the "Race Office" auditorium in the Henri Oreiller conference centre.
The first Ladies team captain meeting will take place on February 2nd 2009 and the first Men's race meeting will take place on February 3rd 2009.


Qualification Races

Qualifying heats for the Giant Slalom and the Men's Slalom will take place on the "OK" slope in La Daille on Thursday February 12th for the Giant Slalom and Saturday February 14th for the Slalom. The rules are as follows: "The best 50 competitors present will qualify directly to the finals and all other will compete in a qualification race for the remaining 25 places.
All competitors participating in the qualification race will be included on the official results list of the respective race of the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships. Replacement of injured or ill athletes - verified by the Medical Supervisor - of the top 50 present athletes may only be made by athletes with at least the same or better WCSL / FIS points than the 50th on the board. Only the WCSL / FIS points of the originally entered 50th competitor count. There is no moving up. The enrolment is done according to WCSL points followed by FIS points".


Ceremonies

> The opening ceremony is scheduled to take place on Monday February 2nd at 6.45pm in the Bellevarde racecourse Finish Area.
> The winner ceremonies will take place in the racecourse Finish Area 3 minutes after the last racer has completed the course.
> Medal ceremonies will take place after each competition at 6.45pm in "Medals plaza", except for the Men's Slalom on Sunday February 15th when the ceremony will take place immediately after the race in the Bellevarde race course Finish Area.
> The race bib draws will take place on the evening before each race in "Medals plaza" after the medal ceremony, except on February 2nd.
> The Closing Ceremony will take place on Sunday February 15th at 4pm in the Bellevarde racecourse Finish Area.
